It was inside the Rembrant Studio building, which was what burned. Luckily, the theatre had a 2 foot thick brick fire wall seperating the auditorium from the building, therefore the theatre was not affected by the fire. |

![]() The Rembrant Studion building burned on the night of January 26, 1981. Movie goers said they smelled smoke around 8 o'clock in the lobby, and by midnight the building was engulfed in flames. A true landmark of the Shennago Valley closed that night, and would be the headlines for the next few weeks. | ![]() You can clearly see where the leaking pipe was. ![]() This was the toll neglect and lack of funding took on the interior of the theatre. | ![]() This was during the demolition of the deteriorated material inside. The balcony ceiling was removed to be replaced by a replica of the original, and although the seats are authentic and historic, research shows that wider seats are preferred and you are more likely to return if you aren't uncomfortable. New, wider seats will be put in, and the seats have since been removed. |
